What are you doing to give back to your community? How are you serving others?

In this episode of the Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone Podcast, Brian and Christine are blown away by the selflessness and servitude exhibited by an awesome woman named Randi Einsenshtat. Joining the show from Del Ray, Florida, Randi is a financial advisor who also just so happens to have a ton of experience teaching and managing the most exclusive and successful fitness facilities in the world like EQUINOX and LifeTime. Today, Randi discusses how her passion and love for organizing and taking part in charity fitness events has been a highlight of her life. She reflects on teaching spin class in the middle of Times Square, riding her bike 150 miles for MS, and successfully raising funds for Auggies Quest, cancer research, and more. Randi admits she feels disconnected if she is not associated with a charity fundraiser. Listen up to hear about Randi’s newest fundraising project, Rise Up For Sunrise, a donation fitness experience to benefit the Sunrise Day Camp, a free Long Island-based camp for children with cancer. Her mission is to “give kids an experience they would never forget.” To find out more about this project and how to get involved, reach out to Randi at randi.eisenshtat@gmail.com or find out more about Sunrise Day Camps at www.sunriseassociation.com.

David Caldarella - David's Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation - Episode 149

Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone Podcast

Episode 149 - David Caldarella - David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation

“This became my purpose; I wanted to help people!” - David Caldarella

In Episode 149, the Two Fit Crazies were honored to sit down with David Caldarella, CEO & Co-Founder of David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. David shares his amazing story starting when he was first diagnosed with stage four head and neck cancer over ten years ago to what he went through both physically and mentally while undergoing intense rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and various surgeries. Thinking that “this was it,” David created the Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit that raises funds to provide financial assistance, wellness services and HOPE to New Jersey families affected by a cancer diagnosis. For David, this would be his legacy after he was no longer with us. Today, David is ten years removed from his diagnosis and remains cancer-free! Listen closely as David discusses the importance of serving as a “beacon of hope” for patients and families as the foundation has now helped over 1,700 families and raised over 1.1 million dollars. Next on the agenda, David is planning community fundraising events, increasing business partnerships, and sponsoring athletes to raise funds on behalf of “TEAM DREAM!” In fact, look out for Two Fit Crazies at the Boston Marathon this April September running on behalf of David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation! Let’s all be on a mission of hope and giving!
