All Hail Roberta Groner, All American Bad Ass! - Episode 125

Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone Podcast

Episode 125 – Pop-Up Podcast – All Hail Roberta Groner, All American Bad Ass!

The Two Fit Crazies were so moved by the performance of American distance runner, friend and past guest of the show, Roberta Groner at the 2019 IAAF World Championships Women’s Marathon that they got together for a Pop-Up podcast to praise her in all her greatness.

Being held in Doha, Qatar, the World Championships provided the ultimate backdrop for the Full Time Nurse, mother of 3, 41-year-old, blue color All American/All World Bad Ass to show the world her amazingness and toughness. With temperatures in the 90’s, “feels like” temps in the 100’s with 70% humidity, Roberta persevered the elements, running patiently, working her way to a 2:38:44 6th place finish.

That’s Right! 6th IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!

After a performance so amazing that it brought us to tears, the Two Fit Crazies just had to stop and pay homage to Roberta on her incredible performance, in unbearable conditions, on the World’s biggest stage. ALL HAIL ROBERTA GRONER – ALL AMERICAN/ALL WORLD BAD ASS!!!!!!!!

#KFG Roberta!

Round 3 - Elite Running Coach, Creator of Rev02lution Running™ Certification, 8x Author, IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year, Chocolate Milk Advocate, Run-Fit Kenyan Running Camp Director 2020!

“Kenyans have an intense desire to be good...they try to become the best in the world...this is their way out of poverty...great runners are celebrities there...”   -Dr. Jason Karp

In Episode 110, the Two Fit Crazies welcomed back Dr. Jason Karp to the show for the third time! Obviously, the Fit Crazies love speaking with the incredibly intelligent Dr. Karp about the latest developments in exercise science to improve all aspects of running. This time, Dr. Karp speaks about his newest endeavors such as: enrolling in  an MBO program at San Diego State, coaching an elite team of Rev02lution Running  athletes from around the globe, writing another book about how physical activity,  specifically running, affects sexual behavior, and creating a Run-Fit Kenyan running  camp after his experience training at the High Altitude Training Camp in Iten, Kenya.  Needless to say, whether you are an avid runner or just looking for ways to improve your health and fitness through walking or running, Dr. Jason Karp dishes out all the science about how running WILL improve your life. This episode will not disappoint!  Brian and I have a great time learning about the benefits of “more sex” in relation to  improved athletic performance (we try so hard to be mature about this) and Dr. Karp  delves into what he learned from running with the Kenyans and submerging himself in  their culture. Bart Yasso - The Mayor of Running - Episode 81

Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone

Episode 81 – Bart Yasso - The Mayor of Running

“Never limit where running can take you.” Bart Yasso

In Episode 81, the Two Fit Crazies had the honor of speaking with the great Bart Yasso. Affectionately known as the “Mayor of Running”, Bart goes deep into his journey and life in running. Recently retired after 21 years at Runner’s World where he held the title of Chief Running Officer, Bart takes us from his first run in “cutoff jeans and a Budweiser t-shirt” to the “world’s toughest footrace” through Death Valley to a 5k in a nudist colony. And an interview with Bart would never be complete without getting the lowdown on the famous workout created by and named for him – the Yasso 800s, stating that “There isn’t a day that someone doesn’t mention Yasso 800’s.”

Bart is an incredibly genuine person with a passion for running and life. It felt like we were old friends catching up after some time apart. An inspiration to all that cross his path, we hope that you enjoy this episode as much as we did.

Yours in Fitness (and running),

Episode 69 – Brian’s Kick Ass, PR, Philly Marathon Recap.

Whenever a Fit Crazy puts their butt on the line, we get a recap. Ironman, marathons, birthday marathons, big events, Boston Marathon heartbreak? You name it. If there is a big Fit Crazy performance, you’re getting a Recap Show. And here in Episode 69, Brian and Christine give you just that.

Coming off his HUGE Philly Marathon 2 hour 48 minute 42 second (2:48:42), PR, Brian gives us the low down on his gigantic effort in the City of Brotherly Love. What did this guy just win an Oscar? You’d think the guy actually put the crack in the Liberty Bell! Too bad! It’s a Fit Crazy performance worthy of a Fit Crazy Recap!

Hear of the preparation, motivation, genesis of his love for running and all that went into making the run happen, including the inspirational run the day prior to the race by a very special cross-country team that he’s been lucky enough to be a part of this season.

All in all, if feeling good makes you feel good, this one will make you feel good. We Love It When We’re Having The Best Time!!!!!
