In Episode 179, the Two Fit Crazies have an awesome conversation with an immensely energetic and passionate man by the name of Dean D. MacInnis. Joining the show from Oregon, Dean discusses how experiencing an “epiphany at the age of 35 that kicked him in the face” led to the creation of his own consulting business and a podcast. After a highly successful 12-year career as a corporate consultant and wellness executive, Dean shares his frustrations about the way corporations view wellness, as it is often overlooked and under-valued. Constantly feeling the effects of budgetary restraints that left him “like an iceberg...only able to deal with the symptoms of poor health and wellness at the surface level, not the causes,” Dean quit his job to begin a new life as an entrepreneur. Currently entrenched in his own wellness consulting business and podcast, Dean is determined to not only provide a service, but also offer an education for those looking to live a better, more fulfilling, and healthier life. From working with college students, to providing new rehabilitation techniques for stroke and Parkinson’s patients, Dean is giving people more than treatments, but “a feeling.” You are going to love this episode! “We all share the same mission; we want to improve the quality of peoples’ lives through movement and nutrition. Let’s shift the paradigm!” -Christine

In Episode 143, Brian and Christine reunite for a powerful conversation about shifting the paradigm that exists between the current state of medical professionals and fitness professionals around the world.  Christine talks about her recent trip to lecture at the Medical Fitness National Conference at the University of Irvine and discusses her trademarked facial fitness and rehabilitation program, Let’s FACE It Together™.  Both Brian and Christine elaborate on some of the latest research and studies to support the collaboration of both professions. If you have yet to hear about the MedFit Network and Education Foundation, a non-profit organization spearheaded by Lisa Dougherty, it’s time to check it out and join the movement.

Kindra Hall - Professional Storyteller/Keynote Speaker/Mother & Wife/Author: Stories That Stick - Episode 106

Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone

Episode 106 - Kindra Hall - Professional Storyteller/Keynote Speaker/Mother & Wife/Author: Stories That Stick (Pre-Order your book at Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, Indie Book, etc.…)

“I didn’t recognize storytelling as a talent; it was something I just did.”  “I have always kind of been the “Gonzo.” What am I?”  “...all these little things...moments in my life have value...significance… I can do this!  -Kindra Hall

In Episode 106, The Two Fit Crazies are captivated by the amazingly talented Kindra Hall. After Christine met Kindra and listened to her deliver an extremely poignant and inspirational keynote address to thousands of fitness professionals at the Orangetheory Fitness Summit in early 2019, she knew that Kindra was a diamond in the rough! Kindra, who is a professional storyteller, keynote speaker, author, mother, and wife, first made her storytelling debut in 5th grade when she began recounting the story of The Giant’s Big Toe in front of her fellow elementary school students.  Kindra then reveals her own “story” about how storytelling leads her to take part in the National Storytelling Festival in Tennessee, try out for the Concordia University, Wisconsin talent show, begin keynote speaking, and eventually write Stories That Stick! Kindra also discusses the process and the purpose of storytelling and how it can play an intricate part in successfully building, branding, and marketing any business or foster more meaningful relationships. Kindra admits that, like others, her road to  success has been paved with risk, faith and “straight-up hustle,” but by keeping an “audience forward” mindset, delivering a clear message, and accepting that you must  embrace trial and error, you will achieve your goals. Get your paper and pencils ready and let’s “flex your empathy muscles!” What is your story?
